Grandad was a gentleman, he was known & loved by Many. He spoke his mind, loved to have a sneeky cig(he bought those in Seamus' shop with his sweets!)

His car was his pride & joy, he loved to clean & polish it, not a single speck of dust would dare to land on it for fear of polish!!

He slipped away from us on Tuesday 20th January 09 at 5.35pm......he's left us with such lovely memories and just a whisper of aww x x x x

Although he wasn't my maternal grandfather I loved him lots and will miss him always x x x x

Light a Candle

Light a candle for those we mourn.

Into a new life they will be born.

Do not look for them at the gravesite.

They are somewhere else radiating their beautiful light.

They have gone to a new world where there is no darkness, no pain.

Their light and essence will always remain.

Light a candle for those who have left this mortal place.

They are free to travel through time and space.

When we think of them, they are near.

When we sit in a beautiful garden. Their voices we hear.

When we listen to a divine symphony,

We close our eyes, their faces we see.

Light a candle for they have not really gone.

With each flickering flame, in your hearts they will always belong

THE BROKEN CHAIN

We little knew that morning that God was going to all your name,

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone,

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Really missed having you around this Fathers Day Granda, our 1st without you. We laid flowers on your grave for the blessings, all the usual suspects turned up....young John was even there. We're really really missing you xxxx

I think of you often and my dreams you share
But my thoughts all go back to your special chair
I miss all the chats the laughs
But most of all I miss the quiet times when we just sat watching the tele not needing to say anything
The silence said it all that I just loved your company
and enjoyed being there. You were like a father to me
and it was an honour to have been your daughter in law.

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Goodnight Angel Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
There is a home not made by hands Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
Beyond its golden door Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
Awaits the one who’s now away Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
Not lost just gone before Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
And in that home not made by hands Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
The Master will prepare Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
A place for us, and when he calls Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
We’ll meet our loved ones there Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

I thought of you with love today
but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday and days
before that too.

I think of you in silence
I often speak your name
All I have are memories
and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is my keepsake
with which I'll never part.

God has you in his keeping
I have you in my heart
